Projectors and projector calibration have a wide spectrum of applications beyond the silver screen, such as AR/VR, information displays, and robotic vision. The calibration process of these systems remains a challenge, with existing methods facing issues of flexibility and reliability. The objective of my research is to provide a robust and flexible approach to projector calibration that does not require prior knowledge of the camera used in these systems. In this talk, I’ll discuss existing the existing methods and their shortcomings, and the imaginary geometric entities that enable a more robust process.
