Accurately tracking the hockey puck in broadcast video remains a challenging problem due to its small size, extreme motion, frequent occlusions, and perspective distortion. In this seminar, I present a unified approach to puck detection and tracking that moves beyond appearance-based methods by incorporating contextual cues, stable rink geometry, and physics-aware motion modelling.
