Strategic planning is an essential but challenging aspect of a large organization like the University of Waterloo.  The strategic plan has yet to drill down to tactics, so a lot of what is developed at the start of a strategic plan is based on broadly supported statements.  As graduate students, you may have an outlook that can benefit the institution from your perspective. It is for this reason that President Goel is going to present a VIP Seminar despite his busy schedule.
